Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm

Section 339 of the Criminal Code Act 1899 provides that any person who unlawfully assaults another and thereby does the other person bodily harm is guilty of a crime and is liable to imprisonment for 7 years.  The liability is increased from seven to 10 years if the person charged with the offence presented to be or is armed with a weapon and/or is in company with one or more other people.
