Work Licence Application
A person who is considering applying for a work licence may have received a Notice to Appear following a drink driving offence. This is a document which tells you the charge and on what date you will need to appear in the Magistrates Court.
In more serious circumstances, a person might first be taken into custody in relation to their driving related matter. If released with charges, they will be given a bail undertaking, promising that they will attend court for the charges listed on the date provided.
A person’s history, the nature of their charge, and the reasons why they require a work licence are three overarching considerations. In assessing them, a criminal lawyer will be able to provide advice on whether they are eligible or not for a work licence application.
